Leaving my man for the New Year |
|||||
Dear Pastor, I listen to your programme on the radio every night. I am living in New York and it is hard to get you. Sometimes the reception is not so good. I am married but my husband and I are not getting along. He drinks too much. He will not even go to church with me. I am a Christian. I am planning to leave him. The end of January will not find me in this house. He does not want to help me pay the bills. I could have married an American but rejected all of them. I wanted to marry a Jamaican but it has not worked out well for me at all. I am a nurse. this man wants all my money. I cannot allow him to ruin my life. I will continue to try to reach you because I want to talk to you personally. I may come to Jamaica for Christmas. I if do, I will try to call you from there. D.R Dear D.R., I am sorry to hear your marriage is not working and you are about to leave your husband. Be comforted with the thought that not all marriages work. I suggest, however, that before you bring and end to this relationship, you ask your husband whether he would be interested in seeing a family counsellor. if he agrees, make the appointment. I am sorry that you have tried to reach me personally without success. If you do come to Jamaica. I will be glad to see you. Pastor |
