Young Boyz look to rebound

Jamaica's Under-20 football team will look for their first win when they tackle Peru in the Copa Simon Bolivar Tournament at the Pueblo Nuevo Stadium in Venezuela today, starting at 4 p.m.

In the feature game, hosts Venezuela will take on Paraguay two hours later. The young Reggae Boyz went down 3-1 to Paraguay in the opening game of the four-nation tournament, and will now look for a victory in order to remain in contention.

Paraguay's AS Roma striker, Antonio Sanabria, netted a brace, while Enrique Araujo scored the other. Jamaica's overseas-based midfielder, Ryan Miller, had levelled the score at 1-1 when he netted in the first half.

The young Reggae Boyz are using the tournament as preparation for the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship in Jamaica from January 9-24.

The squad is coached by former national senior team captain Theodore 'Tappa' Whitmore. He is being assisted by another former national player, Lenworth 'Teacher' Hyde.
