For the first time in almost a decade, popular sound systems Bodyguard, Stone Love and Metromedia will all be back in the spotlight for the first ever 'Dancehall Nice Again' event.

Promoter of the event, Isaiah Laing, told THE WEEKEND STAR that the event will bring back 'niceness' to the dancehall arena.

"It's been a while since these three sounds have appeared on one event. We wanted to bring back the old dancehall vibes to the industry. Back in the days, selectors never used to play back tunes, so it will definitely be an event for real dancehall fans to attend," he said.

Dancehall Nice Again will take place on Saturday, February 28, at the Coolbreeze Entertainment Centre in Old Harbour, St Catherine.

"It will not only be about these three sounds because even though they are the main attraction, we will also be incorporating a performance element to the event. All the artistes who did well at Sting will grace the stage. This includes Gully Bop, Sashae and Stylysh."

He added that fans can expect the real, authentic early dancehall vibes.

"Coolbreeze Entertainment Centre is now the new grounds for these kinds of parties. I used to keep dance long time and it's been a long time I don't see this type of dance. Early juggling from 8 p.m. Sound string up and disc jock a toast pon mic. Dancehall nice again," he said.

Admission is $500, and the event is sponsored by Red Label Wine.
