Chozenn shows rebirth with gospel EP

Chozenn

With a positive lifestyle being the dominant theme on his upcoming gospel EP, the artiste says his latest work will show his growth and rebirth.

The EP will feature seven tracks and is called Rebirth.

Chozenn says the EP's lead single, God Love Yuh Enuh, released late 2014, has been well-received locally and abroad.

"It has been awesome working on this, my first gospel project. The songs flowed naturally, and you can actually feel the level of anointing on each song," he said, noting that God Love Yuh Enuh has received airplay in Finland, Dominica, the Cayman Islands, and other parts of the Caribbean.

While the iTtunes release date for the EP remains uncertain, Chozenn says there will be an official Rebirth launch on Saturday at the Maverley Gospel Hall, Molynes Road, St Andrew, where he will perform live, backed by On The Shout gospel band. Other notable gospel artistes will perform.

"The love is amazing, and I am basically on every playlist locally. I am blessed and I am more than happy. I am beyond pleased with airplay," Chozenn said. Persons attending the launch will be able to purchase the EP at a special cost of only $500.

In terms of the style of gospel, Chozenn says the EP will show his versatility, as he wants to appeal to different emotions.

The artiste is currently featured on a musical project funded by the Ministry of Tourism. He was also featured at Arts in The Park: The Gospel Edition, hosted in Ocho Rios and organised by the Ministry of Tourism.

The EP's launch will be powered by Digicel, Wisynco Group of companies and gospel radio station, Love 101.

"My type of music is to encourage young people and restore lost faith. Just expect good music and giving God the glory, because the word of God will be clearly evident in all of my material," he told The STAR.
