Star Tell Me Pastor

Grown men, leave young girls alone

Dear Pastor

I am 15, but I look 18. Everywhere I go, men call to me. Some ask me for sex, but I tell them no. A big man, less than a mile from where I live told me that he is going to get me, one way or another.

I told him I was going to tell my father. he started to curse and said my father and I are having sex. I haven't told my father because I know he could get himself into trouble by chopping him up.

I do not have a boyfriend but wish I had one to walk with me on the road and to protect me. I am not fat but I am plump and my breasts are larger than girls my age.

Please tell these men to leave us young girls alone. I don't want any man. My aim is to become a nurse. Thank you, Pastor.

A. R.

Dear A.R.

I know you are afraid to tell your father about this man, who has been harassing you on the street. However, I believe you should tell your father what he has been saying to you. You have not mentioned anything about your mother, but she should be advised about this man's behaviour towards you. Perhaps they could make a report to the police, and the police may warn this gentleman.

It is likely that he will deny everything. Be very careful on the road. Do not walk alone at nights, even if you are going a short distance. Whenever any man tells you things they want to do to you, do not response. It would be good if you were able to tape what this man has said so he would not be in a position to deny it.
