Schools table tennis, top teams advance

Hosts Campion College blanked Hillel 3-0 in Girls' Under-19, and visitors St Georges drubbed hosts Meadow-brook 4-1 in Boys' Under-19 in the Urban matches of the ISSA Securipro table tennis competition.

In the rural duels, hosts Manchester blanked Knox 5-0 in Boys' Under-19 and also 5-0 in Boys' Under-16.

Defending Rural Boys' champions are Belair in Under-19 and Titchfield in Under-16. Defending Urban Boys' and Girls' under-19 champions are St Jago and Immaculate, respectively.

In individual results, in the Campion vs Hillel Girls' Under-19 contest, Isabelle Chin stopped Zi Sha Mai 3-1, Janique Lee overpowered Ashanti Chambers 3-0 and Tainya Henry strolled past Shwe Myanmar 3-0 for Campion's 3-0 victory.

In the St George's' versus Meadow-brook Boys' Under-19 encounter, Christopher Roberts, Quandajai Henriques, Paul Dixon, and Ryan Newman all scored easy 3-0 wins over Matthew Sparks, Youanis Rennie, Zahmayne Lindsay, and Tom Zheng, respectively, for St George's' four triumphs. Ravieon Fray crushed Marc Gordon 3-0 to pull one back for Meadowbrook.

In the Under-19 Boys' match between Manchester and Knox, Manchester's Jevaughn Wiltshire, Darren Chambers, Stephen Welsh, and Linton Green all had easy 3-0 victories over Jeffrey Smikle, Rohan Stern, Romario Williams, and Devante Ford, respectively. Ricardo Miller won by default, to complete Manchester's 5-0 triumph.

In the Manchester vs Knox Under-16 contest, Daniel Walters crushed Jarred Henry 3-0, Damian Carty trounced Joseph Brown 3-0, Kevoy Bryan blew away Ennis Reid 3-0, David Smikle beat Kevon Campbell 3-1, and Demani Foster strolled past Ketel Kennedy 3-0 for Manchester's 5-0 triumph.
