Dancehall artiste Vanessa Bling, formerly called Gaza Slim, is gearing up to launch a line of lipstick called Vanessa Bling lipstick. According to the artiste, the product will be available for purchase online and in selected stores islandwide.

Vanessa Bling is known for singles like Independent Ladies and One Man, and according to the artiste, it is only inevitable that she should invest in products, since her mentor Vybz Kartel was also a business person.

"I love lipsticks, I am a businesswoman and I love to try different things. Sometimes the music business is very slow, so you have to try different things to back it up," Vanessa Bling said.

She further explained: "It will be distributed world-wide. I am very proud to follow in Vybz Kartel's footstep because he had his rum line and his condom line as well. It's good to know that I am the first female from his camp to be doing something like this. I am very proud of myself and I know he would be proud as well," she said.

The singer also operates her own record label called VB Records and has produced some of her own singles.

"I am also a designer, I designed the dress I wore to YVAs and it received a lot of credit from persons who saw it," she told The STAR.
