Star Tell Me Pastor

Did i get her pregnant?

Dear Pastor

I am 19 years old, and my girlfriend is 21. Both of us are sexually active, and both of us are attending college. My girlfriend told me that I am the only man in her life and I believed her. But now I don't understand what she is saying to me. She is now saying that, for two months, she hasn't seen her period and she is feeling ill.

We have never had sex without using a condom. I always use a condom and the condom didn't break. So, Pastor, how could she claim that I got her pregnant? She said that she could swear on the Bible that she didn't have sex with anyone else. I told her to go to the doctor, but she said that she is sure from how she is feeling that she is pregnant. And I know that I didn't get her pregnant.

L.J.

Dear L.J.

If the condom did not break and if, after sex, it was carefully removed, then you should not be worried as to whether you got your girlfriend pregnant. Couples who use condoms know that there is a remote possibility that the woman can become pregnant when the condom is being removed after sex. The penis might become soft and sperms might escape before the penis is withdrawn from the vagina so as to prevent any form of leakage.

A man should withdraw his penis before he loses his erection. Women have become pregnant as a result of broken condoms. Let us hope that is not what happened to your girlfriend. If you are speaking the truth and your girlfriend is telling the truth about not having sex with another man, you need not fear.
