Despite the West Indies' choppy form at the Cricket World Cup currently on in Australia and New Zealand, three individual West Indies players are among the top 10 performers with bat and ball in the two week-old tournament.

Jamaica's Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels are among the leading batsmen, while Jerome Taylor is one of the best wicket-takers so far.

Gayle, who smashed a World Cup record 215 in the Windies win over Zimababwe on Tuesday, is the top batsman in the tournament to date, with 255 runs from three matches played.

That includes four in a losing effort against Ireland and 36 in their victory over Pakistan. Samuels is the third leading batsman at the tournament, with 192 runs from three games, including 133 not out against Zimbabwe.

Other batsmen in the top 10 are Shikhar Dhawan of India (210), Shaiman Andwar of the United Arab Emirates (173), David Miller of South Africa and Sean Williams of Zimbabwe with 160 each, and Moeen Ali of England with 158.

Meanwhile, Taylor is the second leading wicket-taker, having bagged nine wickets in three matches so far.

Tim Southee of New Zealand is the tournament's leading wicket-taker with 11 wickets from his three matches.

Steven Finn of England has eight wickets while Mohammed Shami of India, Sohail Khan of Pakistan and Daniel Vettori of New Zealand have six wickets each.
