Customs officer charged |

Rasbert Turner, Star Writer The Spanish Town police on Saturday charged a customs officer for having items, which he cannot account for, in his possession. Ryan Jameson of Eltham Acres in Spanish Town, St Catherine, has been charged with unlawful possession of property and being in possession of uncustomed goods. He was granted station bail and is booked to appear in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, March 10. The Star understands that last Friday, about 2:15 a.m., police personnel armed with a search warrant went to Jameson's premises. The team found several cases of cigarettes and appliances, a home theatre system, television sets and other appliances. It is said that Jameson was working at the Norman Manley International Airport at the time of his arrest. He is being represented by attorney-at-law Sean Kinghorn.
