Claims child's head isn't shaped like his

André Williams, STAR Writer

Being in doubt about the paternity of one child can be stressful, but for 46-year-old Clive Rodgersbeing in doubt of two children born to one mother, is a living nightmare.

As such, he contacted THE STAR hoping to be successful and get closer to the truth.

However, his 22-year-old lover, Mona Reidwho is currently pregnant with her third child (second between them) is crying fowl alleging that much of the confusion surround the kids are due to nosey outsiders.

This episode relates, however, to their two-year-old child. According to Rodgers, if this is not his child then, he is excluding himself as a figure in her current pregnancy.

The two are still an item even though a cloud of confusion and uncertainty hangs over their relationship.

Rodgers: "Yea man, we still together!"

Reid: "Yea, we deh same way."

When asked what they wanted the results to be:

Rodgers: "Positive on my side."

Reid: "Positive."

In relation to what would they do if the results said the child was or was not Rodgers':

Rodgers: "If is not mine, well basically it woulda prove say the next one in her belly is not mine either. If it is mine, well, no problem, a my youth so mi do weh mi afi do mi nah run from my responsibilities."

Reid: "If is not his child, well mi sure inna myself say a fi him own. If it is his child then mi woulda glad inna myself and him woulda glad to and people woulda jus' stop talk bout DNA."

THE STAR was told that the child is registered in Rodgers' name, however, Reid ripped the birth paper to pieces during an argument with Rodgers over the paternity of the child.

According to the couple, lies dominate why doubts exist about the two-year-old child:

Rodgers: "She say she sleep with this youth before me, she lie and then she confessed. she say di condom burst when she sleep wid him, now when mi go Japan for a few months and come back mi hear she pregnant with another child. mi check the timing and it nah add up, people a laugh after me, dem say mi a idiot."

Morning after pill

Reid: "I don't have any doubts a him and people have doubts him mek dem a tell him things. Yes, the condom did burst but me and di guy went to the pharmacy and buy the morning after pill and I took dem in front of him, dat a long long before me get pregnant."

Rodgers and Reid reside in the same community and according to them, their dilemma is a hot topic:

Rodgers: "Yes, dem (community) know, especially since mi come back from overseas, a bare talk bout mi a mind kids weh a nuh mine, is a laughing stock ting."

Reid: "Yea, dem know cause him mek people tell him things and dem come to me to but him is a man still people can know weh him a think but dem mek talk."

There was discrepancy in their opinions relating to who the child resembled;

Rodgers:"The baby to me look like the youth, the baby have broad nose and him have a broad mouth, but them head shape the same."

Reid: "She look like Clive, she may nuh have his colour but she short like him and his entire family.
