The body of 14-year-old schoolgirl Kayalicia Simpson of Newlands Housing Scheme in St Thomas was found yesterday with several chop wounds in her community yesterday.

Reports from the Yallahs police are that about 6:30 a.m., relatives found the girl's body and summoned the police. The body was transported to hospital where death was confirmed.

The police have launched a probe into the incident.
