A newspaper vendor had to be rushed to hospital after an attempted scheme to con a woman into giving him sex resulted in him being stabbed several times.

The incident reportedly took place at a motel on Matthews Lane, Central Kingston.

The incident reportedly happened Wednesday afternoon, around 4. It is said that the man, after negotiating their sexual encounter, promised the woman the sum of $8,000.

"He invited a girl to buy some. He wanted a freak, and for a girl to do all di tings dem. He wrapped up $1,000 with some newspaper and gave to her. He locked the door because he didn't want her to come out. She stabbed him all over his body with his own knife," claimed a woman, who works next door to where the incident unfolded.

The woman claims the man's female companion was also stabbed during the incident and mentioned that the female attacker "did that type of business".

It is further alleged that the man's attacker came out of the motel and said to persons downstairs "unuh go look pon him because him suppose to dead," the woman revealed.

Head of the Kingston Central Police Division, Superintendent Michael Scott, said he was aware of the stabbing incident, but could not say whether it was over sex, because investigations are ongoing.

The senior policeman did reveal, however, that the pair had a dispute.
