Man stones sister's house

A St Catherine man, who threatened his sister and used stones to smash her house's window, pleaded guilty when he appeared in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

He is Ralston Reid, 27-year-old, unemployed, of Portmore, St Catherine.

When Reid appeared before Resident Magistrate Simone Maddix, he admitted to committing the offences.

The complainant told the court that he constantly threatens her and that he was of an unsound mind.

He was sentenced to 10 days imprisonment for the threat and 10 days for malicious destruction of property, to run consecutively.

He was also fined $2,000, or 10 days, for being armed with an offensive weapon.

The court heard that on February 23, the accused went to the complainant's house.

He threatened to kill her. when she was about to report the matter, he threw stones, smashing a window.

A report was made to the police which resulted in the arrest and charge of Reid the following day.
