A vendor had to make a hasty retreat from a St Catherine school after he had a dispute with the principal. The incident is the subject of much laughter in the community where the school is located.

Reports are that last Friday, the male vendor was at the school where he sells, when there was a disagreement. It was reported that the vendor and the principal had a heated verbal exchange.

This was said to have developed into a dispute, leading the principal to brandish a machete. Further reports are that the principal told the vendor he would "cut him down to size". The fearful vendor fled the scene, and ran to the police thereafter.

The Bog Walk police have acknowledged the incident and said that both parties were spoken to.

THE STAR was informed that the matter was reported and is currently under investigation.
