A man accused of using a knife to hit a woman was further remanded when he appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday.

Charged with assault occasioning bodily harm is Clive Tomlinson, who pleaded not guilty.

The court heard that on the day of the incident, following a brief dispute, Tomlinson used a knife to hit the female complainant in her head.

He was subsequently arrested and charged.

He is to return to court on March 30 for trial.

This ruling was met with great distress by Tomlinson, who did not hesitate to air his grouses as he was being ushered back to the holding area by police personnel.

"She wanted! Yu know that woman? She wanted!" he exclaimed.
