Accused credit card fraudster remanded

A man who is accused of using credit cards to lodge fraudulent cheques was remanded until Wednesday when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court.

Charged with conspiracy to defraud and obtaining money by false pretence is Winston Reid.

The Crown alleges that the accused man used credit cards to lodge fraudulent cheques between November 18 and 22, 2013, and withdrew in the amount of $117,917 at various ATMs.

He was subsequently arrested and charged.
