Arnett win in rainy conditions

ARNETT Gardens maintained the lead in the Red Stripe Premier League following a 1-0 win against Rivoli United at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex in Trench Town yesterday.

The start of the game was delayed due to heavy afternoon showers. The win pushed Arnett to 60 points, while Rivoli United remained on 37 points. Michaelos Martin netted the lone goal in the 47th minute to put Arnett closer to the $1 million incentive for the team that ends the preliminary stage on most points.

In another game, Waterhouse edged Humble Lion 1-0 at Waterhouse Stadium. The Waterhouse team remained in second position on 54 points. Nicholy Finlayson scored for Waterhouse in the 27th minute. On the other hand, Humble Lion stayed fourth on 46 points,

Boys' Town pipped Harbour View 1-0 courtesy of a 57th-minute penalty scored by Rafeik Thomas.

Sporting Central and Reno battle to a 0-0 draw at Juici Park in Clarendon. Sporting remained in 10th position on 33-points, five clear of 11th-place Reno.

Bottom-place Barbican and third-place Montego Bay game was postponed. While the Cavalier vs Tivoli Gardens game was not played due to a waterlogged field at Stadium East.
