Reggae singer Jah Torius is pleased with the public's response to his single, The System Evil.

The track, produced by French Reggae label, Dub Akom, was released in March, enjoying strong rotation on a number of top local radio stations.

"I'm happy that my song is getting such a wonderful response. Everywhere I go people are telling me that they are hearing it a lot. I'm very appreciative for all the support I am getting," said the artiste.

The song has also caught the attention of music lovers in Europe and Africa. "The label I voiced the song for is doing a lot to push it in Europe and other markets including Africa," said Jah Torius.

Jah Torius recently released a supporting music video for the single. It was directed Wayne Benjamin and shot in sections of Kingston and Spanish Town.

"The video captures the essence of the song, it shows a glimpse of the struggles the people face in Jamaica every day in order to survive. We released it on YouTube a few weeks ago and it has already received over 10,000 hits."

Jah Torius, born Shanry Williams, began singing in church as a small boy in Falmouth, Trelawny. As he grew older his love for music grew stronger and by the time he left high school in 2006 he decided to pursue a career in music. He has not looked back since.
