Last year was quite the year for Ding Dong, and his recent success seems as if it will continue for a while with Sean Paul's addition to his song, 'Lowe Mi Nuh'.

Ding Dong returned as one of the top contenders in dancehall last year with songs like Syvah and Shampoo, which had accompanying dance moves that were just as popular.

A few months ago, Ding Dong added Lowe Mi Nuh to the already popular Chimney Records-produced 'Happy Hour' rhythm, and it has been enjoying tremendous success since then.

"I released the song on that rhythm because the dance for the song buss on that rhythm. Sean Paul gravitate to the song, and one day I asked him if he would do a remix of the song. He was mad excited about the song and the dance," Ding Dong told THE STAR.

"I am super excited because it (remix) ago mek the song reach a different market. It is going to be a plus for me and the rhythm."

He added that a music video for the remix will also be done as soon as both their schedules allow for it.

Hottest song

Despite being added to the rhythm months after it was initially released, Ding Dong said he is quite pleased with how well Lowe Mi Nuh has been doing.

"Most of the songs were released already, and I made a late entry. I think the song and the remix will carry the rhythm to the summer or even beyond summer. It's like the hottest song in dancehall right now," he said.

And Ding Dong, who says he has been having a "blessed year", noted that he has upcoming shows in the United States, Canada and England. He added that the entire Ravers Clavers dance group is available for bookings in the United States.

"It's a joy for me to bring dancers on that level. It is a big accomplishment for us as dancers," he said, adding that the 'Syvah' jerseys are available for sale on repja.com, and the sales for the product have been tremendous thus far.

But that's not all, Ding Dong said Ravers Clavers has also been hosting Dresscode Fridays and Upscale Sundays, which are both held the last Friday and Sunday every month at the Ravers Clavers corner in Nannyville, St Andrew.
