Jamaican rapper Nomad Carlos recently completed work on an animated music video for his latest single What They Saying.

The video was shot in New York and directed by David DaCosta, a principal in the Ark House Music label.

What They Saying, which is available on iTunes is the latest single from Nomad Carlos' upcoming EP, Distants. The project will be released digitally tomorrow.

In a media release, he explained the idea behind the animated video.

"We always talked about doing animated videos and David became inspired to make the whole video look like a comic or a video game. I like that it's different and plus it's something I've never done before," he said.

This is not the first music video the New York-based rapper has released. His most recent effort was LPH (Los Pollos Hermanos) a track featured on Distants. He also has a number of videos which can be seen on YouTube.

Nomad Carlos was born in Florida to Jamaican parents. As a youngster he moved to Jamaica and attended St George's College and then the University of the West Indies. He moved back to the US in 2013.

During his high school years, he started a five member rap crew calledThe Bulletproof Army. The outfit consisted of Sosa, Simo-B, Shermon Dadz and Five Steez. The crew started in 2002 but disbanded in 2008 after members decided to pursue other interests.
