J'can identified as murder suspect in St Lucia

News out of St Lucia says a Jamaican man has been identified as a suspect in the death of a St Lucian teen.

According to St Lucia News Online, the police are currently looking for the Jamaican man, who is alleged to have stabbed the teen 56 times.

A post-mortem examination conducted on the body of 18-year-old Marvin Anthony Augustin of Grand Riviere, Gros Islet, concluded that he died from hemorrhagic shock secondary to a stab wound.

The teen was found with his throat slashed last week on Trouya Beach in Gros Islet hours after he went missing.

A missing person's report was filed with the police on the same day he was discovered on the beach.

According to a source, Augustin went to meet a male on the beach. It is believed that he met the male on Facebook.

It is further believed that Augustin sent a photo of the person he was going to meet on the beach to a close friend.
