Woman accused of stealing thousands from employer

Bail in the sum of $200,000 was offered to a woman in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court last Wednesday, who is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from her employer.

Kerry-Ann McLean is charged with larceny as a servant.

The Crown alleges that between January 2014 and March 2015, the accused, who was employed as a customer service representative stole more than $400,000 from the cash register.

The attorney representing McLean said in court that his client denied all the allegations brought against her.

Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey then ordered that she be given bail with surety.

McLean will return to court on May 20 when the matter will be mentioned as the Crown needs more time to complete the case file.
