MoBay Utd book Premier League semi-final spot

DEFENDING Red Stripe Premier League champions, Montego Bay United, cemented their spot in the semi-finals when they picked up a crucial point following a 2-2 draw against Humble Lion at WesPow Park yesterday.

Francois Swaby's brace put Humble Lion into a 2-0 lead but the home side rallied for a draw that sent them into the semi-finals where they joined Arnett Gardens and Waterhouse.

Now, Humble Lion and Harbour View will battle for the last remaining spot. Humble Lion are in fourth spot on 47 points, one clear of Harbour View, heading into the last set of games in the preliminary stage.

The day produced a total of 26 goals, with Jermain 'Tuffy' Anderson scoring a hat-trick in his team's 5-1 win over Boys' Town.

Already relegated Barbican battled to a 4-4 draw against Reno at Barbican Complex. Reno and Sporting Central are engaged in a fight to decide the other team that joins Barbican.

In other results, Harbour View edged Tivoli Gardens 1-0 at Harbour View Stadium, Sporting Central and Rivoli ended in a 0-0 draw, and Arnett Garden beat Cavalier 5-2.
