Reggae/dancehall artiste Mr Vegas has been a prominent figure in the music industry for over 16 years, achieving success on both international and local charts for his efforts.

The singjay has been nominated in two categories in this year's STAR Awards, and says he feels blessed. He also hinted that his performance will be special.

"After 17 years in the business, it's a major blessing that a major medium like the STAR is still recognising my work. I am looking forward to giving the fans a great performance, hits after hits, 2015 will be greater," he said.

Going up against Mr Vegas in the Singjay of the Year category are Bugle, I-Octane, Popcaan, Kranium and Mavado. While he faces off with Tarrus Riley Popcaan, Ziggy Marley, Wayne Marshall, Sean Paul and Etana in the category of Album of The Year.
