Ghandi makes his return

Ghandi

Reggae recording artiste Ghandi is no stranger to the local music scene. For the past 15 years, he has produced songs that are cultural, inspiring and filled with positive vibes. He has also graced many major stages including STING, Reggae Sumfest and several events in North America.

After taking a hiatus from the performance scene, he is heating up the airwaves with tunes such as Nah Live Up, Me One And God, Beat Badmind and Liquor Peggy, which is on the Wire Dem Riddim. Ghandi, whose real name is Duane Bowen, hails from Portmore and is often referred to as a reggae all-rounder, seeing that he is not only a singer, but is also a deejay and songwriter. "I decided to take a break a few years ago, but I continued to work with a several artistes, writing songs and producing."

He is busy working with several producers including Kongstar Records, Birch, JJ Wizzle, Computer Paul, Black Spade and Waymaker (New Jersey). "This has been a long time coming", Ghandi commented "I am more focused and feel very motivated, especially after getting a lot of positive feedback from disc jocks and fans who are hearing my new songs. Big up to MC Nuffy who always encourage Ghandi throughout the years."

Ghandi is gearing up for a busy summer overseas and is currently in studio working on a couple of collaborations. "I am really fired up right now, and my fans can look forward to great things from Ghandi."
