Rootz Revealerz hits number one

International Reggae group Rootz Revealerz is riding a wave of success. The group's single, 'Rude Boy', featuring Ras Goudie, released on their Rootz Revealerz imprint, late last year, is number one on the Jamaica Music Countdown Top 25 Reggae Singles Chart.

Judia Manning, bass player, said the band is happy with the progress of Rude Boy.

"This is a very wonderful achievement and it is also a very positive sign for us, as a group, because it shows that our music is gaining strong support in the local market. We are very happy and appreciative for all the support that our music is getting," he said.

Manning said the band firmly believes its rise on the local music scene will continue, as long as continues to produce quality music.

"We are confident our fan base will continue to grow as long as we continue to make good music, because that's what the people want.

"They want music with melody and substance - music that is uplifting and entertaining and we are going to give them a whole lot more," he said.
