An outspoken woman caught on video has captured the hearts of many as the inadvertent exposure has Jamaicans clamouring to assist.

Since a series of viral videos have been posted, the woman, previously known as only Celia, has received the moniker 'Famous' from adoring viewers.

The tapes often chronicle the woman ranting and raving as friends follow her as she goes about her daily affairs.

Native of Savanna-la-mar in Westmoreland, 'Famous Celia' has gained quite a bit of attention on several social media networking websites, chief among them Facebook.

THE STAR understands that the woman in the tapes is pregnant and is also homeless.

Since then, the man behind the camera Ted 'Mr Universe' Brown, 32, had a light bulb moment. As a result of viewers appearing to have taken quite a liking to Celia with many displaying a willingness to assist the woman in any way possible, Brown launched a fundraising effort for Celia in furtherance of assisting her to purchase a home of her very own.

Additionally, he has embarked on a mission to raise funds to lend a hand to Celia with prenatal care throughout the course of her pregnancy, as well as to assist with purchasing items in anticipation of the newborn's arrival.

"I have known her (Celia) for about seven years. She go and come; this minute she all right the next minute she not all right." Brown said. "She has two kids already, and then I see her now pregnant and we don't know who she pregnant for. She doesn't really have any family or anything like that. So sometime she check me and I just take out my phone and mi video her and put it up on Facebook."

Initially, Brown had no intention of embarking on any such fundraising mission, but decided to take advantage of the extensive social media attention Celia has received for her benefit.

"I just did it as fun first, I never thought of anything. But then people have been reaching out because she said she has to sell her body and this and that. And true she pregnant, some of them try to reach out to her and want to know how they can get in contact with this girl and the person who does the video," Brown said. "I'm planning now to buy her a one room. I have identified the one room already; it is for $170,000. I want to buy her that house and fix it up with a bed and mattress for her, and then I buy her all her baby clothes."

In closing, Brown made a final appeal: "I want to ask anyone who wants to assist her just to get in contact with me because I really want to give her a house. Because when she has the baby, I definitely want her to have somewhere to go. So anybody who can assist her can just get in touch with me."
