Port Antonio, Portland:

The Portland police have released the names of four persons who they claim have featured in major crimes committed in the parish and can assist with their investigations.

The men are 46-year-old Horace Kenlocke, otherwise called 'golden patoo'; 25-year-old Tedroy Terrence Thomas, Peter Swaby, and Devon Ponal.

Kenlocke, a fisherman, is wanted for the June 26, 2014 murder of a woman. Thomas, who is on a bench warrant, is being sought for questioning in relation to various criminal activities. Swaby is being hunted for questioning in relation to a series of robberies committed in Port Antonio between January 1 and May 2015. And Ponal, who was convicted in 2005 for robbery, is also wanted for his part in a series of robberies, which reportedly targeted persons returning home from wakes and parties.

strictest confidence

Commanding officer for the Portland Division, Superintendent Wayne Cameron, is appealing to residents who may be able to provide them with much-needed information as to the whereabouts of the suspect, to come forward, as the information shared will be held in the strictest confidence.

"This could help us to put a lid on the ongoing robberies," commented Cameron. "This is a peaceful parish and I intend to keep it that way. Within the last three months, we have received reports of ordinary law-abiding citizens being robbed by armed thugs - while heading home from wakes and parties. This kind of crime is unique to Portland, but rest assured that the men and women under my command will be working assiduously to rid the parish capital, Port Antonio, of this monster," he added.
