Surrey teams score big wins

Quest, Richmond Park, St Jago, Meadowbrook, Trafalgar, and Lannaman's Prep all had big wins in the Surrey county in their latest matches in the Scotia Bank Prep School Cricket Competition.

Quest defeated Our Lady of the Angels Prep (OLA) by six wickets after winning the toss and invited OLA to bat who were then all out for just 87.

Duchan Forbes top scored with 25 while Mekale Gordon 10 got into double figures. The wickets went to D'Andre Thenstead 3-11-2 overs, Andre Burgess 2-5-1 and Malik Bogle 2-21 in 2 oves.

Quest replied with 89 for 5 in 15.3 overs. Andre Burgess 15 got the most runs while Christopher Whyte bagged three of the four wickets to fall for 11 runs in 2 overs.

Richmond Park got the better of Hopefield by eight wickets. Richmond won the toss and fielded to bowl out Hopefield for 69. Matthew Crichton 13 got into double figures against Keshawn Howe 3-11 and Lindale Anderson 2-12.

Richmond made light work of the total after getting 70 for 2 in 12.2 overs.

St Jago overpowered Glowell by 111 runs. After winning the toss, made 200 for 3 in 19.1 overs.

Meadowbrook was in the winning corner when they defeated Covenant by 8 wickets.

Trafalgar had the most impressive win when the defeated Excell by 10 wickets after running over them for just 40 in 10.1 overs. Jaraughn Fagan 4-10-4 and Mathew-Joel Jones 3-10-2 did the damage for the bowlers.

The final match on the day went to Lannaman's Prep who ran away from St. Catherine by 140 runs. St Catherine won the toss and inserted Lannaman's who made 204 for 4. St Catherine then laboured to 64 all out in 22 overs.
