Davian Burke and Demarco Bryan are only 14, but already have a small but dedicated fan base in their community of Seaforth, St Thomas, and admirers all across the parish.

Prominently featured on the line-up of the St Thomas Parish Council's 150th Morant Bay Uprising Anniversary concert 'St Thomas Sings' recently, the duo were lauded for their smooth voices and energetic rendition of C-Sharp's Book Of Rules and George Nook's God Is Standing By.

Winners of the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission's (JCDC) National Festival finals for singing in their age group in 2015 and voted most outstanding popular duet at the JCDC Festival in 2014, the cousins have a bright future in entertainment.

Ron Devon Patrick, their music teacher at Seaforth High School and a member of the C-Sharp Band, is determined that they will go as far as they can in the entertainment field. Patrick met the boys after they moved over from Seaforth Primary.

'It's easy working with them," Patrick told The Star. "They are disciplined, and when you ask them to do something, they do their best."

He has made a determined effort to maintain their image of being cultural wholesome artistes. "The usual subject for most of these up-and-coming youths is guns and money. But these boys are different. They have a real talent for reggae and culture. And we need more good, positive youths as role models," he said.

Both boys have aspirations outside of music, wanting to become pilots when they get older, but music remains a passion for them.
