Dancehall artiste Razor B has been burning up the dancehall with his latest single, 'Hot Up'.

The accompanying music video has so far attracted more than 100,000 views on YouTube.

Razor B says he isn't surprised at the feedback and general reaction towards the song.

"I had the gut feelings from the first time I saw boom diva Lattie do the dance called Hot Up. I told her that I was going to do the hit record for the dance, and that's really how it came about," Razor B said in a press release.

The dance routine for Hot Up has been catching on in the dancehall, and several female dancers have endorsed it.

"The dance, for one, is very catchy and the riddim and the song was just a perfect combination. I wrote the song by myself, but I have to give Swatwinz credit, they were a part of the creation of the song," he said.

The Canada-based deejay has been capitalising on the success of Hot Up, which was produced by DJ Franco.

"So far I am capitalising on the record, been in the studio almost every day doing dub plates and jingles for radio station and sound systems around world," he said.

Razor B has three new singles to be released. They are Bruck Back, So Good and Up in Deh.
