THROUGH CHRIST ... I’M FEELING BLESSED EVERY MOMENT

GEORGE HENRY, STAR Writer

Prior to February 15, David Wilton Cohen of Sanguinetti in Clarendon could not be referred to as a born-again child of God because he was not saved. Well, all that has changed. He is not only now saved, but also baptised. He also is now a member of the Sanguinetti New Testament Church of God in Clarendon, where Reverend Donald Dawson is his pastor.

He told THE STAR’s Life and Times that he decided to follow the Lord because he was told that there is a calling on his life to preach.

“The Lord sent someone to prophesy over me. I was told that God has called me to share His word. I was also told that I should read the word of God, and to seek Him daily so that I can win souls for the Kingdom of God,” said Cohen.

As part of the great commission and in preparation for the preaching, Cohen got baptised recently in water; but, according to him, his aim is to be baptised with the Holy Ghost and to be continuously baptised in the blood of Jesus.

YOUNG CHURCH MEMBER

“Before I got saved, I was feeling down, lonely and heartbroken. It was as if my life was going to end. However, since I got saved, I feel like am now in the light, and it is as if everything is all right even though I am not working. Since I have found Christ, I feel a sense of satisfaction,” testified Cohen.

The young church member added that since he got baptised he has been enjoying many happy moments. He added that he feels blessed every moment of the day, and he is convinced that Jesus is on his side watching over him and looking out for him.

For those who are not yet saved or baptised, Cohen wants them to know that they are wasting time serving the devil. He also wants them to know that the Christian life is the best life. He shared that the Christian life is a good life and that they should seek the Lord in an effort to escape hell.

“We are living in the last days, so all should try as best as possible to get on board for Jesus. Man has only one life. There is no repentance in the grave; so try and make it right now before it is too late,” said Cohen.

He has pledged to hold on to God, and said he has no intention of going back into the world because he wants to see Jesus around the throne on the day of judgement.
