Fashion designer assaults woman after being denied sex

A fashion designer accused of assaulting a woman who refused to have sex with him had his bail extended when he appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.

Charged with assault occasioning bodily harm is 21-year-old Raven George of a Kingston 11 address.

Allegations are that on June 8, the accused reportedly took the complainant to his house in hope of sex. It is reported that George locked her inside his dwelling, preventing her from leaving the premises.

When she refused to have sex with him, he reportedly hit her and used a ratchet knife to jab her hand and leg.

It is said someone caught wind of what was taking place inside the house and came to the complainant’s rescue, demanding that she be let out. While letting her out, George reportedly gave her another smack.

In court, the accused had his bail extended by Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey. He is scheduled to reappear in court on August 26 pending trial.
