Magazine to sponsor album, single for winners

Caribbean Gospel Buzz (CGB) magazine has taken its partnership with the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) to the next level.

CGB will sponsor the full cost of an album for the winner of the JCDC Gospel Song competition as well as a single and trophy for the People's Choice Award winner.

"CGB is proud to be associated with this competition which has been running for decades and is contributing to the development of gospel music in Jamaica. CGB has as its mission the progression and promotion of gospel music in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean. We believe our sponsorship will help to fulfill that mission while at the same time helping to launch the career of the competition's winner," said CEO Stanley Edwards.

Stephen Davidson, JCDC's director of marketing and public relations, commenting on the partnership saying: "The JCDC is extremely pleased to partner with Caribbean Gospel Buzz, as we enhance our mission of unearthing, developing and showcasing the talents of our people. The partnership will enrich the competition and will positively impact the future of the programme. We strongly believe that the partnership is a best fit, as both entities continue significant contribution to gospel music not just in the Caribbean, but right across the world."

CGB is looking forward to the grand finals on August 2, 2015 at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre.

Caribbean Gospel Buzz was designed to highlight, promote and elevate gospel music and artistes in the Caribbean on the international scene through timely and relevant media content. The magazine currently operates the Facebook page, www.facebook.com/Gospelbuzz, with articles on gospel artistes from around the region, including an Artiste of the Month feature.

CGB will be launching its website shortly, as well as the printed paper, which will be distributed across Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.
