Three illegal firearms and 180 assorted rounds of ammunition were seized by the police during an operation yesterday morning.

The seized firearms and ammunition include:

One AK-47 rifle

One M-16 rifle

One Strum Ruger mini-14 rifle

Fifty-one 5.56 rounds of ammunition

Sixty-three 7.62 rounds of ammunition

Sixty-two .357 rounds of ammunition

Four. 45 rounds of ammunition

Four magazines

No one was arrested in relation to the seizure the police said.

Detectives from the Eastern Kingston Division report that between the hours of 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night and 4:30 a.m. yesterday morning, police conducted the operation on Jacques Road, Mountain View Avenue in Kingston.

The police said a premises was searched and the firearms and ammunition found.

Investigations are continuing.
