Four arrested for unlawful possession of property

Four men who appeared in the Yallahs Resident Magistrate's court last Friday, for unlawful possession of property, were granted bail in the sum of $100,000 each.

They are Denzel Leslie, 19; fisherman Keron Beckford, 23; Samson Bryan, 36; and 39-year-old mechanic, Dwight Robinson.

The men are expected to observe a 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. curfew and report to the Port Morant Police Station daily.

Reports are, on July 21, the four men were travelling along the Leith Hall main road in a white 1998 Toyota Townace motor vehicle, owned by Bryan, when they were stopped by police.

The vehicle was searched and cattle carcasses, cut into quarters, were found. Further investigations led to the men being taken into custody and charged.

They are expected to return to the Morant Bay Resident Magistrate's Court on August 26. The St Thomas police are still attempting to locate the owner of the animals.
