Man conducts unauthorised business in company's name arrested

Detectives attached to the Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC) arrested and charged a 49-year-old man for larceny as a servant on Tuesday, July 28.

He is Patrick Crowl of Carnival Close, Caribbean Estate, Portmore in St Catherine.

Reports are that in October 2011, Crowl allegedly conducted unauthorised business in the name of his employers. It is alleged that he then used company funds as payments. Crowl's employers became aware of the breach and reported the matter to the police. An investigation was launched and he was subsequently arrested.

He is scheduled to appear before the Half-Way Tree Resident Magistrate's Court on August 28.
