'Good Fi Dem' back on the scene

As a result of Jamaica's success at last week's IAAF World Championship of Athletics in Beijing, China, a single released by danchall star D'Angel in 2008, has resurfaced.

The single, Good Fi Dem, was released following the country's success at the 2008 Olympics, at the same venue, seems to have regained traction as a result of Jamaican athletes' return and subsequent success in Beijing.

In the single, D'Angel highlighted that Jamaica's ground provisions and good sunlight caused our athletes to flourish.

In interviews since her return to Jamaica from the first leg of her North American tour, D'Angel said she was extremely proud of all the Jamaican athletes. She also commended other entertainers for their tributes to the athletes as well as using social media to encourage further development in track and field.

The 'First Lady' of dancehall shared: "I am so proud to be a Jamaican, and often times when I go overseas, during any major world track and field event I can feel the love from Jamaicans who now reside abroad."

D'Angel is promoting singles Ramp Ruff, Gimmi Likkle More and Whine Factory. The video for Whine Factory will be shot mid-September.

"My focus now is good music, and just being a good mother and rebranding the D'Angel brand."

D'Angel is also working with stylists and designers to complete her photo shoot for new promotional merchandise.
