Scaramouche advances to finals of talent competition

Garry 'Scaramouche' Davis topped a talented field to take round four of the Unique Star Talent elimination round.

The final performer for the night and second-time entrant scored big with the judges and audience.

A resident of Breadnut Hill, a stone's throw from the Unique Car Wash venue where the competition took place in St Ann, Scaramouche rode the rhythm well with his entry, Girl The Most.

The former student of Ocho Rios High School pocketed the $7,000 first prize and steps into the December grand finals.

Aother deejay, Gabala, also a past student of Ocho Rios High, came in second - three points behind Scaramouche.

A resident of Harrison Town in the parish, Gabala took home $3,000 for finishing second and also a place in the finals, where all will be vying for the $250,000 Fab Five recording contract.

Music was provided by Black Rock sound system with DJ Reggie at the controls.

Lady Action performed MC duties, while Racquel Ellis from Black Rock Promotion handed out the prizes. The next contest will be on Friday, September 25.
