GLW recording artiste Lee'tal is determined to make a positive impact on society.

The multi-talented deejay-poet, who was born in St Catherine and raised in Mandeville, Manchester, recently started a programme called Project Good Deed to assist the less fortunate in his hometown.

"I started this project about a month ago to help people who are in need. Times are hard, and many people are struggling just to find food to eat. Some people cannot even buy books or school bags for their children. With Project Good Deed, I want to do as much as I can to help these folks. I also hope that this project will inspire others to help, too," the artiste said.

Project Good Deed will be officially launched today with the first annual staging of the Caring Is Sharing Back-To-School Treat at the Park View Pharmacy parking lot in Mandeville. The event is slated to begin at 1 p.m. sharp.

"I want the people of Mandeville to bring out their children on Thursday and let them have fun. There will be lots of entertainment for them, and we are also going to give them free back-to-school supplies, including school bags, hardcover notebooks, pens, and pencils," said Lee'tal.

The Caring is Sharing Back-To-School Treat is sponsored by Park View Pharmacy, CDC, (Cedar Grove Development Commitment), G.L.W. Entertainment Group, Entertainmedz, Reggae PR, Sizzle Graphics design, Dean Dutch designs, Sky Bolt Sound, Big Yaad Sound, DJ Killa B, K Ashley Production, Yard TV, and BOJ TV.

Lee'tal is promoting his single, Cant Get Wi Down. The song is one of the featured tracks on his recent project, Dubplate Style Mix Tape.
