Biggaton, I-Band deliver at Spanish Town prison

Reggae singjay Biggaton believes that music has the power to bring about positive changes in all areas of life. "I always make sure that I record songs that contain positive and uplifting messages. Music is a very powerful tool, and we should use it to influence people to do good and spread love all over the world," said the artiste.

Biggaton recently performed at the monthly concert that is held for inmates at the Spanish Town Adult Correctional Centre in St Catherine.

Performing with his backing band the I-Band, he entertained the inmates and prison workers with an energetic performance. His set included songs such as Breath Dem Waste, Crime Stopper, Why Are They So Ungrateful, Bawl Fi Life and an acapella version Live Longer.

"I had a good time performing for the brothers in the prison. I used the opportunity to give them positive words of encouragement," he said.

The event, that was coordinated by popular street promoter Stampede Lammie and Billy Joe Media, also featured performances from Tony Rebel, Queen Ifrica, Mutabaruka, D'Angel, Empress Roberta and Steppa.

Biggaton is currently promoting his single Why Are They So Ungrateful, which was released on the MEM Production imprint in May.

"This song is getting a lot of love, since its release, it has been receiving good rotation both locally and overseas. The video for it is also doing well," said Biggaton.

Biggaton is also getting ready to drop a brand new single Bawl Fi Life on the Village rhythm. The song that was produced by Ralston Barrett for Reggae Nation Music, will be released on October 20.
