Montego Bay United gained sole leadership of the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) yesterday, after Dino Williams struck a first-half brace to give the former winners a 2-0 win over Tivoli Gardens at the Edward Seaga Sports Complex.

MoBay came into this round of matches tied on 14 points with Portmore United.

However, the St Catherine side drew 1-1 with Reno to fall two points behind MoBay on 17 points.

Williams, who has a groin injury, opened the scoring four minutes into the match, capitalising on a mix-up in defence to head home from close range. Then in 45 minutes, the 25-year-old rose to head home a corner from six yards.

"I am not a hundred fit and as an injured player to get two goals in a tough game, I can't complain. I have to keep working hard, and each game see if I can do it for my team," Williams, who leads the league with eight strikes, told the star.

In other games, Boys' Town beat Cavalier 1-0 on Rafiek Thomas 50th-minute penalty at Barbican.

Boys' Town jump five places from the bottom to eighth. Boys' Town Daemeon Benjamin was red-carded.

Humble Lion defeated UWI 1-0 on Jermaine Christian 90th-minute strike at Effortville to climb three places up to fourth on 12 points, same as Reno in third. Humble Lion's Dino Schaffe saw red in this match.

At Frome, Michael Binns 33rd-minute goal for Portmore cancelled Rondell Morris' 21st-minute opener for Reno. Binns was ejected moments after scoring.

At Waterhouse, Arnett Gardens beat Waterhouse 1-0.
