Woman pleads guilty to larceny
A woman accused of stealing US$372,000 from a house pleaded guilty and had her bail extended when she appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's court on Friday.

Charged with larceny from the dwelling is Shelly-Ann Morgan.

Another accused Dennis Lobban, who was also implicated in the matter, is charged with receiving stolen property. He, however, pleaded not guilty.

Both accused had their bail extended until June 4 where Lobban will have his case mentioned and Morgan sentenced.

They were both ordered to give their fingerprints to the police.

Resident Magistrate Desiree Alleyne told Morgan, "If you return with the money your sentence will be less, if not, you will get a long sentence".

The court was told that on the day of the incident, Morgan allegedly removed a suitcase containing the funds from the complainant's house.

It was also reported that the police were able to recover a small fraction of the money, however, the greater portion is outstanding.
